April 18, 2010. The provincial science fair ended. I am pleased to announce that the MRSTF delegation is -- once again -- the strongest and best region in the province. We have reaffirmed our position of producing top quality projects in Quebec. And, we are seeing the emergest of a fifth generation of excellent young MRSTF scientists in our mist. |

Last but not least --- Junior Robotics Competition Elementary and high school students will be enaged for two days in a lego-type robotics competition. April 30 and May 1st. |

The Educational Alliance for Science & Technology is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization serving Quebec students in extracurricular activities. Our achievements are the Montreal Regional Science & Technology Fair, Robotique CRC Robotics, Intel International Science & Engineering Fair's Quebec affiliate, Junior Robotics Competition and other projects in the works. Our balanced budget is funded through the generosity of volunteers. |

Congratulations to the English community in Montreal, Laval, Monteregie, Laurentides and Laurentians! MRSTF 2010 -- hosted by Concordia University -- is the largest Quebec upper-level science fair in 50 years. We boast a 60% participation rate from all high schools and CEGEPs. March 21-22-23 should be an exciting time! |

Quebec’s first bilingual Science Fair was held in the Richelieu Valley at St. Joseph’s College in McMasterville in 1960. Students from 11 high schools ( 3 English, 8 French ) exhibited their projects at this event. It was sponsored by the Beloil section of the Chemical Institute of Canada. In 1961 the first Metropolitan Science Fair was held in Montreal. |
